Sandy Hooks: Bring your troops home Uncle Sam

I am deeply sorry for the  Americans who have lost their loved ones in the Sandy Hook massacre  which occurred last week.

The victims young and old were allegedly killed by the lone gunman using a Bushmaster .223 assault rifle which could be bought by civilians in America:

A file picture of a Bushmaster .223 Assault Rifle allegedly used at the Sandy Hook massacre
The loss of so many innocent American lives by a made in America gun fired by an American gunman is tragic, but have a thought of innocent lives lost throughout the world outside the USA, by made in America weaponry fired by Americans too.

Read the USA No.1 killing Platform in Pakistan and probably Afghanistan
It begs the question why with so much money spent and so many Americans, Iraqis and Afghans and Pakistani lives lost in the Afghanistan war and not forgetting the Iraq war, not forgetting also that Osama ben Laden is now dead, the United States of America is still not safe!

Best is for Uncle Sam to pack up US troops in Afghanistan all 68,000 of those brave  men and women and bring them home, the Afghans will never submit to foreigners and they never have, the British Empire, the Communist USSR tried and all failed to subdue the Afghans. These well trained American troops are best deployed to guard US citizens in America from harms way.

After the massacre at Sandy Hooks, only God knows when the next one will happen and how many more innocent lives will be lost. As long as the gun lobby in the US are not subdued, America will never be safe from murdering whackos with guns freely available in that country.

America, Remember Sandy Hooks, Bring your Troops home. But wait there is a super intresting conspiracy theory here, must read:

PRU13: SPR be warned, 'citizen observers' could cause chaos at the balloting centers

The way passed their expired life group called 'Bersih' lead by Ambiga wants to give some life back to their havoc creating ways, seems in the next election they want to have 'citizen observers' to spot their make believe 'PRU13 fraud':

Ambiga, is it not enough that you have inconvenienced the voters by forcing the SPR to have our fingers painted with black indelible ink during the election?

Now you want your Bersih goons who rioted on the streets on 28 April 2012 whacking policeman and vandalising properties to become 'citizen observers'?

Please lah Ambiga, do us  peaceful voters a favour, just go to vote at your own constituency and go home wait for the results, the SPR and the Polis are able to ensure a fair and free election without your 'Bersih' goons anywhere near the polling booth.

Cheating in elections? What the hell are you talking about Ambiga? 5 States fell to your beloved Pakatan of DAP,PKR,PAS in PRU 12 what, is that not proof enough that the elections have been free and fair? You are as clueless about Malaysian elections as that Senator from Australia Xenophon whatever his name.

Its a good thing that SPR replied strongly to Ambiga's shit stirring idea:

EC accuses Ambiga, Bersih of partisan agenda

I think better yet the SPR should lodge a Polis Report about Ambiga's Bersih's undemocratic and partisan intention which would cause nothing but interference to Malaysia's democratic voting process in the next PRU13.

In the 2012 DAP CEC election, DAP Chinese showed their middle finger to DAP Malays

The result of the 2012 DAP CEC Elections will echo down the years and will cement DAP as a Chinese Chauvinist Party which treats its non Chinese members with disdain worst contempt. It seems the UBAH message really got into the DAP delegates' head, the DAP Chinese delegates are saying enough of this political rhetoric of hypocritical Leaders, DAP is a Chinese Party.

The result also underscores that DAP Chinese cannot stomach a DAP Malay Leader, why I say that, well even Zairil Khir Johari a Chinese with a Malay name was shot down in the votes. The DAP delegates are telling the whole world that DAP is NOT a multiracial party but a party belonging to DAP  Chinese while the Indians or the Malays are just multiracial tokens, period.

The CEC election results showed that DAP's Malaysian Malaysia is a myth, its just rhetorics as the DAP do not practise what they preach and they do not give a damn what other Malaysians say.

If some of you are asking why the DAP is being savaged for the CEC election results, read what Dato' Ahirudin said in his blog:

Blogger bru said...
Anon-Anon, especially those who love to compare DAP and UMNO when it comes to being race-based. Don't go missing the point. We all know UMNO is a Malay party, just as MIC is an Indian based party and MCA is a party for the Chinese. The respective races' names/identities are clearly and proudly spelt out in each party's name (and constitution).

The difference is simple: DAP claims to be NOT a Chinese-based party, not a party that promotes the interest of one race above others, Malaysian Malaysia, etc. Yet the truth/fact is, DAP is all that it claims it is not.

If there had been doubts about this before, the latest party elections would have cleared the air once and for all.
For the Malays in DAP I have this much to say to you...you people deserved every disdain and contempt heaped upon you by the Chinese in DAP. Don't bother to join other parties as I know you guys just love the breadcrumbs and shit thrown at you in the DAP.

If PR insistence on closing down industries producing radioactive waste is taken seriously, Malaysians just as well go back to the stone age

The Anti Lynas, anti anything the BN Gomen do is up to their no good fear mongering routine again, after trying without success to use the Malaysian Courts to stop the Lynas Gebeng from firing up they are now focusing their evil intention on the waste product produced by Lynas Gebeng which by the way;

"The synthetic aggregate Lynas will produce is required to have radioactivity of no more than one becquerel (Bq) per gramme. To put it in perspective, that's the same as the background radiation at a quarry (producing gravel) and the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) recommended safe level is 5Bq. So Lynas will be producing so-called radioactive material that is less than a fifth of what is still considered to be the safe dosage according to the experts, and less than that produced by a cathode-ray tube television set."
Read more from The Choice here.

Despite failing to mislead majority Malaysians, a Pakatan/PKR Politician who once misleadingly described the Lynas Gebeng plant as a Nuclear Reactor, read:

EXPOSED! PAS MP SAYS PKR MP FUZIAH SALLEH IS A LIAR!

.....shameless Fuziah is trying her luck again and now tells the public that Lynas Gebeng will be producing harmful radioactive waste that cannot be kept in the country read;

Lynas sets the tone, while BN dances to its tune

There is an open letter to Fuziah after her interview with PAS Tv where she attacked Lynas Gebeng (full article and the open letter can be read here):

excerpt:

"ISSUE 7 – ON RADIOACTIVE WASTE
I wish to draw to your(Fuziah) attention that numerous industries within Malaysia, and around the world, generate radioactive waste. And if your comments are to be taken seriously, by shutting down industries that produce radioactive waste, a vast array of products, goods and services would no longer be available to society.
These include:
* Hybrid cars, energy-saving light bulbs, mobile phones, electricity-generating wind turbines, and almost all electronic and computer equipment
* Petrol and diesel fuel, all other mineral oils and natural gas
* Airplanes, space vehicles, white pigments, toothpaste
* Phosphate fertilisers for agriculture
* Ceramic tiles, porcelain
* Electricity generated by burning coal or geo-thermal sources
* products made from or with an addition of iron, copper, tin, aluminium, zinc, lead, tantalum, etc
* Clean drinking water produced from water treatment.
I am confident that you are “not against progress”; however, in following your own logic, the oil and gas industry in Malaysia should be shut down and people should be banned from using phosphate fertilisers, living in houses with ceramic tiles, driving cars, flying on airplanes, and using any kind of electronic equipment.
This is no exaggeration – simply an extension of your own logic."
Read the rest of the open letter to Fuziah from the Consultant here.

I tweeted this just a few hours ago:

if PR and SMSL insistence on closing down industries producing radioactive waste is taken seriously,we just as well go back to the stone age

Enough said.

While Musa is kept busy with his detractors lets not forget Musa's allegation of political interference in PDRM

Things are really hotting up indeed between Retired IGP Musa and his detractors Robert Phang, Millionaire Polis pensioner Ramli even the Ex KL CID chief Mat Zain is not spared:

“I think this Ramli, he has strong influence with IGP [Ismail Omar] and the police...from the outside, it seems like he’s the white knight, saviour of PDRM [Royal Malaysian Police]… while I’m the black knight who is destroying PDRM… the picture has been painted as such....He [Ramli] should answer to the public… how he owns so much riches and wealth when he was still in service. Even I don’t have so much…despite the courts clearing Ramli of failing to declare some RM27 million worth of assets, for him[Ramli], it was still an unresolved question. How could a police officer only holding the post of CCID director amass such money?"
Ex-IGP Tan Sri Musa (Source FMT here)

"He also denied former KL CID chief Mat Zain’s claim that he (Musa) had fabricated evidence, relating to three reports on the injuries Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim received while in police custody in 1998.

Mat Zain had said: “I state, yet again, that I am willing to declare under oath in any judicial proceeding or before any judge that there was indeed an agreement between [Attorney-General Abdul] Gani [Pattail] and Musa to use Dr Abdul Rahman [Yusof] to fabricate the three so-called special reports on the injuries Anwar received while in police custody in 1998.”

Musa said he has no knowledge about any such reports, declaring that he has no power to order any doctor to do anything.

“He [Mat Zain] is the one who investigated the case. He should have the reports,” he said.
He said Mat Zain, along with Ramli, was trying to discredit him."

Seems that Robert Phang had an axe to grind with TS Musa too:

"Musa, who was the country’s top cop from 2006 to 2010, claimed that Phang held grudges against him after he refused to accept Phang’s offer to be his advisor.

“During my tenure as the IGP, he[Phang] always come up to me and offered himself to be my advisor. I refused, wondering why do I need an advisor when I’m still able to think for myself?” said Musa."

And Robert Phang has now been given 3 days to apologise to Malaysian Crime Watch Group (My Watch) or face a defamation suit, read the story in the Mole.my here.

Seems the skeleton, well many skeletons are coming out of the closet which I hope one day in future will lead to a independent PDRM with officers of the best calibre and high integrity.

However, we musn't forget that all these backbiting among retired high ranking Polis Officers started when TS Musa Hassan raised once again the specter of political interference in Polis matters which beside one or two distracting comments by the KDN Minister have so far met with a wall of official "elegant" silence from the KDN Minister, KDN Officials and the current IGP.

If the powers that be thought that  feisty TS Musa Hassan will go away quietly into the sunset after he let off steam, and to have his comments very nicely swept under the carpet later, then,  the powers that be better think again....the Pakatan Opposition will soon join the fray if they have not started already:

This is one great election issue when the Pakatan don't have much issue left to take up against the BN going into PRU13.

Chinese Still against Lynas Gebeng plant?

Very interesting post from Dato' Rocky Bru's:

Lynas: A report by the Centre for Social Responsibility in Mining

The Lynas Gebeng plant is going to be one of the best high technology investment our country would have, it will not only generate much high income for Malaysians but will put Malaysia on the map as a rare earth processing centre, rare earth necessary for the most of the green technology products made now and the future. Sadly the opposition to the Lynas Gebeng has temporarily sullied Malaysia's reputation as a safe haven for FDIs.

Dato' Ahirudin rightly pointed out in his blogpost:

"What the author hasn't touched on is the political radiation inflicted on the parties involved in the Gebeng facility. And just as well, too, because this is not unique to Lynas. Political poison is released on about every major project, from AES to the latest skyscraper."

The dogged opposition to the Lynas Gebeng plant has taken a new twist too:

Chinese still against Lynas plant, say activists

The Chinese are against the Lynas plant? but why? Singling out Lynas Gebeng when there are many other petrochemical plants and other plants already in operation for decades that can seriously harm our environment without proper safety mitigation measures does smack of hipocrisy isn't it?

Anyway lets just hope that this opposition to Lynas Gebeng is not being dominated by one race only, it will give the wrong signal to the majority Malaysians. Remember Newton's Law? For every action there will always be a reaction, so to oppose is fine but oppose with scientific factslah and not because of political reasoning, if you do, you are actually pouring sand into other Malaysian rice bowl, the workers of Lynas, their family members and don't forget the very many suppliers and contractors to the high tech plant also.

I hope those SMSL and himpunan Hijau type understand where they are going with their opposition to Lynas Gebeng. Definitely Pakatan Rakyat won't win the votes of the majority with this thinghy.

Here is the must read Nat Geo article as recommended by Dato' Ahiruddin link:

No smoke without fire and silence is not an option

Ex IGP dropped a bomb shell again last week during the UMNO General Assembly, I said again because he did said almost the same thing when he retired in 2010 read : Campurtangan Tangan Siasatan Polis: Jangan Ulang Feel Anwar

Read more here
I  think all matured citizens would want a Good Government and Good Governance and demands the highest standards from our Civil Servants who must be free from any political interference whatsoever, especially if it involves the integrity of our nation security keepers, the PDRM. The last political figure in Government who interfered with Polis work was the then Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia Anwar Ibrahim who was charged in 1998 for abuse of power and was jailed for that offence. So any allegation of interference by politicians or  the powers that be on Polis matters must be taken seriously.

While many of us are waiting for a official response from the KDN Minister, KDN Ministry officials or the current IGP himself in the form of a press statement or even a Press Conference..hmm, reminds me of the 'golden' Pak Lah days when Silence is 'elegant', but anyway  many have come out of the woods to pour scorn on TS Musa, some examples, see how "killing the messenger and  ignore the important message" trick is being employed, here are some notable ones:

TS Robert Phang came out with this lively post: MUSA HASSAN IS A TWO FACED LYING FRAUDSTER ...ya right and an SD is no proof of wrong doing alsolah its just one man's written word against someone else, Tan Sri.

What takes the cake is this; Ex Top Polis Officer and current millionaire pensioner Ramli demonizing Ex IGP Musa read: Ramli Yusof vs Musa Hassan a case of 'mengata dulang paku serpih, nak mengata orang takut-takut dia yang lebih'.

The allegation by Ramli was promptly denied by TS Musa here who even asked the MACC to investigate.

And for my friends who thinks that there maybe a konspirasi between TS Musa Hassan and Anwar because of a dropped suit and a rumored phone call, think again, TS Musa was the Polis Officer in Charge in 1998 whose investigation was the foundation of the various charges of abuse of power and sodomy against Anwar which brought Anwar down from almost being our Prime Minister to  imprisonment  in Penjara Sg. Buluh. There is no love lost between TS Musa and Anwar that is for sure. This is not politics where there are no permanent friends and no permanent enemies. Read from the FMT:

No conspiracy against Anwar, says Musa again

Teoh El Sen
 | December 6, 2012
The ex-IGP attempts to clear the air over lingering suspicion that he was involved in a government conspiracy to set-up Anwar Ibrahim in both Sodomy I and II.
PETALING JAYA: Former inspector-general of police Musa Hassan has reiterated that the Sodomy I and II cases were not part of a political conspiracy to bring down Opposition Leader Anwar Ibrahim.
Musa, who was the investigating officer of the 1998 case and was serving as the IGP when the more recent 2008 allegation by Mohd Saiful Bukhari Azlan surfaced, told FMT that both were “straight forward cases.”
Responding to claims that he was a party to fabrication of evidence in the first sodomy case, Musa stressed:”There was no fabrication of evidence. He [Anwar] was charged in court.”
“And then I sued Anwar in court [on his allegation of fabrication] and he wanted me to settle with him. So what fabrication was there? The case was dropped because he wanted us to settle it out of court. So there is nothing more.”
Asked why he agreed to a settlement when he claims to be right, Musa replied: “Because to me [if] that person feels that there is no point to [continue with it] then [it shows] that I am not involved. Perhaps he has realised that I am not involved that’s why he wants so settle [out of court].”
Musa was referring to his recent decision to drop a defamation suit against Anwar, who lodged a report against Musa in 2008 accusing him and Attorney-General Abdul Gani Pattail of fabricating evidence in the 1998 ‘black eye’ incident and the Sodomy I trial.
PKR, who had since then insisted that there was no out-of-court settlement and that it was Musa who initiated a withdrawal, had said that Musa’s action was “proof” that there was a government plot to fabricate evidence over the Sodomy I charges.
Musa’s lawyers had cited a “misunderstanding” over the ex-IGP’s role in the 1998 “black eye” incident where Anwar was assaulted by the then IGP Abdul Rahim Noor while in police custody.
On his role in Sodomy II, Musa also rubbished claims that he was a “main actor in the script”.
“Why do they say I am doing the script when it is Saiful who lodged the report, not me. I didn’t want to see Saiful even then. He [Saiful] even said in court that I scolded him [when he tried to contact me], that [I told him] if you have a problem, you lodge a police report. So I’m not involved in any conspiracy here. What are they talking about?” he said.
FMT: Do you know any of any of these ‘script writers’ who were involved in the Sodomy II then?
Musa: It is a straight up case. [A police report was] lodged by the complainant.
Wouldn’t you say there were political reasons behind it?
That you have to ask them because I don’t know the facts about who he [Saiful] saw.
I’m sure you would have certain information from your SBs at the time.
To me if it is very material that he met someone, then that someone must go to court and give evidence, that’s all. So if a person doesn’t give evidence in court, then is it my conspiracy? Come on.
Are you referring to Anwar’s position to actually not give evidence in the witness statement but to give a statement at the dock?
No, not Anwar. There was an allegation to say that they met the prime minister right? Then the prime minister will have to go to court if it is deemed that his evidence is important. Of course as the prime minister anybody can see him to complain, because he is the PM, but what I feel is that he should [have] advised him [Saiful] to lodge a police report, that’s all. Source FMT here.

Which takes us back to the start of the issue, so when is the KDN Minister, KDN or the IGP is going to give a categorical denial against TS Musa's allegation? Silence is not an option, the integrity of the Polis force is at stake.

note:
An ex KDN Minister has issued a denial read TS Syed Hamid Albar's here. Thank you Tan Sri.

Justice has been served, Corperal Jenain set free

Today Polis Corperal Jenain Subi was set free by the High Court, when his conviction at the Sessions Court for causing the death of Aminulrasid Hamzah in 2010, was overturned by Justice Abdul Rahman Sebli.

Notable Quotes:

Judge Abdul Rahman concluded it was clear that the appellant had intended to shoot at the car to immobilise it.
“No prima facie case had in fact been established against the appellant and his defence should not have been called,”
The judge also said the loss of life was unfortunate but the police must not be blamed for the deceased’s death.
Read the story here.
I have always thought that while it is a tragedy that Arwah Aminulrasyid had died from Polis gunfire, the Polis officers had  no way of knowing who they were chasing that fateful night and as far as they were concerned after giving due warnings and the car in front would not stop, the Polis must presume that they are chasing armed and dangerous criminal.
Today, I believed justice has been served for Corperal Jenain and the PDRM.

People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones

Read about the Malaysian Bar Council elections at Jebat Must Die's blog, read here, the Bar Council rightly deserved to be criticized for refusing to be transparent in their own elections when they are a strong proponent of Ambiga's Pakatan inspired B E R S I H:

Source Here.
So much for their criticism of the SPR about free and fair elections, The Bar Council should walk the talk and lead by good examplelah, apa ini?:

".......I have consulted with them and due to logistical and security concerns, the counting process is not open to observers"
Lim Chee Wee, BC President

I say people who live in glass houses should not throw stones at others.

Palestine is now officially a non-member state with observer status in the United Nations

God be praised, the Palestinian got what they have asked from the United Nations:

Palestinians win implicit U.N. recognition of sovereign state

"In a historic session of the United Nations in New York Thursday, exactly 65 years after passing the Partition Plan for Palestine, the General Assembly voted by a huge majority to recognize Palestine within the 1967 borders as a non-member state with observer status in the organization. Some 138 countries voted in favor of the resolution, 41 abstained and 9 voted against: Canada, Czech Republic, Israel, U.S., Panama, The Marshall Islands, Palau, Nauru, and Micronesia."
Source Haaretz.com here

How the World voted:

Source here
Much work and much talking but less violence still remains though, the Palestinian State has been fragmented by the Isreali Occupiers so much so that it would virtually be impossible to have a  proper contiguous state if illegal Israeli Settlements are not moved back to Israel to within the pre 1967 borders:

Lets pray for Palestine, long live Palestine!

On Friday the United Nation General Assembly of nations will vote whether to allow Palestine to be upgraded  to Non-Member Observer State of the UN status similar to the Vatican, read here also.

UN to vote on independent observer status for Palestine

Updated Thu Nov 29, 2012 8:57am AEDT
Palestinians are bracing for what they hope will be a political breakthrough at the United Nations. The General Assembly is expected to vote later today on a resolution granting Palestine non-member observer status, similar to the Vatican. Many of Israel's diplomatic allies are planning to vote in favour or, like Australia, abstain. The vote comes 65 years to the day after the UN first presented a plan for two independent states - Israeli and Palestinian - in the region. Source here.
The enhancement of Palestine's status is a step that will benefit all parties looking to resolve the Israel-Palestine conflict and achieve peace in the region through the two-state solution, that is to say two states living side by side in peace and security. There can be no doubt that this initiative will help all parties to break the current political deadlock and advance the peace process.
The Palestinian position is in line with international law and the UN resolutions which the EU and international community at large has long supported. Obstructing this initiative would therefore be illogical: the EU would be effectively opposing its own positions, including its 2009 statement. Moreover, this UNGA vote could be used as a source of positive pressure to steer the peace process back in the right direction.
Opposing the Palestinian position is also counterproductive. Equally, abstention is unjustified and would send a signal that the EU either has no position on this important issue or that it has chosen to stay on the sidelines. Either way, such a position would undermine the high standing and positive engagement of the EU in the Middle East peace efforts. Furthermore, opposing or undermining the Palestinian step will send a confusing and contradictory signal, especially given the EU's longstanding and important role in encouraging other parties to seek diplomatic solutions to their conflicts, and has been actively involved in UN efforts vis-a-vis other conflicts. Palestine is not and cannot be made the exception of this policy.
The Palestinian people reject all threats, including those announced by Israel, in response to this positive step. Palestinians cannot be made to choose between advancing their inalienable rights and going hungry, This is a choice no Palestinian can accept. The international community must assume its legal and moral responsibility and compel Israel not to carry out its grave threats against the Palestinian people and its leadership, including withholding the transfer of Palestinian tax revenues. Undermining the Palestine National Authority, by withholding taxes or undertaking other reported Israeli reprisals will be damaging to all stakeholders.
Contrary to some claims, Palestine's status enhancement at the UNGA will support any efforts the American Administration and other key players could undertake to restart negotiations. The Palestinian initiative can be employed to create motivation and new momentum for a credible and effective political process. This step will only reaffirm what the EU and US already agree are the acceptable terms of reference to a final agreement.
EU support, whether unanimous or not, is highly important. A common EU abstention or postponement will not only ensure the continuation of the status quo of occupation and colonization which it condemns, but will also certainly weaken the EU's position to influence US vis-à-vis Middle East Peace Process, as the EU will be effectively side-lined as a result of its decision not to engage positively in this Palestinian initiative. To maintain credibility and weight in the process, the EU cannot be seen to be standing against the Palestinian people and their national rights.
The right time for Palestine's status enhancement at the UNGA is now. The Palestinians have dedicated over twenty years to try to reach an agreement with Israel through EU-US efforts, while the situation on the ground has deteriorated severely. Recent events in Gaza make this step even more imperative. Israel's assault on Gaza was a tragic reminder of the urgency of this step. It is time for the international community to take effective steps that ensure the recent scenes of death, destruction and despair are never repeated. The only guarantee for the prevention of violence anywhere in the Occupied Palestinian Territory is by taking a step that advances the diplomatic agenda towards ending the Israeli occupation.
Recognition of Palestine and support of its enhanced status at the UN affirms previous important UN resolutions and the ICJ Advisory Opinion on the Wall (2004), which assert that the Palestinian right to self-determination is a right erga omnes. rights is an indispensable element in the establishment of a just and lasting peace in the Middle East
In this regard, we reaffirm that self-determination is an inalienable right that is not subject to negotiation. Independence has never been a final status issue. The right of peoples to self-determination is non-negotiable and the Palestinian people will thus never negotiate this right or subject it to Israel's whims.
Finally, the Palestinian initiative at the UN does not contradict nor substitute negotiations. These are parallel paths that complement one another. Enhancing Palestine's status at the United Nations to Observer State is a confirmation of the international consensus regarding the two-State solution and the right of the Palestinian people to their independent State. It affirms respect for UNSC Res 242 by not recognizing illegal Israeli occupation and colonization of Palestinian land beyond the 1967 border and rejecting its acquisition of territory by force. Hence, supporting this step would be a reaffirmation of the internationally-agreed on terms of reference and end game of a credible political process to which we remain committed.

Let us all pray that the votes will be overwhelmingly in favor of Palestine's application to the UN as Non-member Observer State. Its a small step in their long, winding and bloody road to their ultimate goal of sovereign nationhood.

Gomen must not capitulate to Dong Zong extremist demand on teaching of Bahasa Melayu

“Semua rakyat Malaysia sokong PPPM kenapa Dong Zong tak sokong.

“Kalau itulah nak dibuat, mungkin dah berpuluh-puluh tahun dulu kita dah buat. Yang terbukti dalam Barisan Nasional sehingga 55 tahun merdeka, tidak adabuat begitu. Tidak ada sekolah Cina ditutup, tiada bahasa Cina tak boleh diajar, tambah guru Cina pun ada, tambah sekolah Cina pun ada,” katanya.

Beliau berkata ia membuktikan bahawa pandangan Dong Zong adalah salah dan berharap agar masyarakat Cina tidak terpedaya dengan apa yang dilakukan olehpertubuhan itu.

- BERNAMA

I given up on these Dong Zong extremists, I think its definitely time for our ruling politicians to take off the glove and tell Dong Zong and their supporters what many majority Malay/Bumis think, that if they Dong Zong want real 100% Mandarin Language Based Education then they will have to set up shop in Taiwan or the People's Republic of China.

This is Malaysia, the national language is Bahasa Melayu, this fact will not change as long as the Majority are Malays/Bumiputras and even if there is a change of Government.  If you Dong Zong people don't like the Federal Gomen policies and do not want to speak Bahasa Melayu fluently then  you people have many choices at your disposal, its a free country, stop going for demos here demos there, you can, if you wish, migrate to anywhere on the planet where the minority is kindly allowed to have their own vernacular schools.

Don't worry Malaysia and Malaysians can manage just fine without you or your demands.

What? Yes! there is no country in this world like Malaysia. Good Luck.

BN Federal Gomen answers Dong Zong, happy now?

Education Ministry answers Dong Zong's queries

KUALA LUMPUR: The National Education Blueprint 2013-2015 does not intend to sideline any vernacular schools which exist in this country, said Education director-general Tan Sri Abd Ghafar Mahmud.

Abd Ghafar emphasised that the Education Ministry will ensure that every government and government assisted school received access, equity and quality education.

"The existence of National Type Schools (SJK) is also enshrined in the Education Act 1996 (Section 28) and further strengthened in the Blueprint (Chapter 7, pages 7 - 16)," he said in a statement on Saturday.

The statement was issued in response to a memorandum from the United Chinese Schools Committees Association of Malaysia or better known as Dong Zong, querying the status of Chinese education.

A total of 20 Dong Zong, led by its chairman Dr Yap Sin Tian, had presented the memorandum to Minister in Prime Minister's Department Datuk Seri Mohd Nazri Abdul Aziz, on Sept 26.

Abd Ghafar said the government had no intention of changing the status or features of national-type schools and that even the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Minister had mentioned that Malaysia had the edge from various legacies, being the only country, outside of China, to have national-type Chinese schools.

Abd Ghafar also said it was not accurate to say that additional time given to Bahasa Malaysia, to 570 minutes a week, may jeopardise their mother tongue.

He said the additional time was only for students in rehabilitation classes at SJKC who were weak in the language, who were only about 30 per cent of the students.

"The Primary School Standard Curriculum (KSSR) has been implemented in stages since 2011 beginning with Year 1. In 2014, this 2011 Year 1 cohort will be in Year 4 (Level 2 KSSR).

"The increase in Bahasa Malaysia learning time for the Level 1 SJKC is from 270 to 300 minutes, while for Level 2, from 180 to 270 minutes, " he said.

However, he said, the differences should be seen in the context of two systems, namely the time allocated for level two, which were 180 minutes for KBSR and 270 minutes for KSSR.

He said the longer period of up to five hours a week or 300 minutes allocated for remedial classes was only compulsory for SJKC students who required them.

Hence, the time increase allocated to Bahasa Malaysia for Year 4 to Year 6 was actually from 180 to 270 minutes, he explained.

"The length of time is increased by one hour a day with the aim of improving Bahasa Malaysia proficiency among students who have not attained the minimum proficiency from Years 4 to Year 6 in SJKC and SJKT. "The ministry feels that it's better for students who have not mastered the language to be identified at an early stage in Years 4, 5 and 6.

"The availability of remedial classes for an hour each day for those who have not attained the minimum level of proficiency, will help them master the language before they complete primary schooling," he said.

At the same time, he said, the government admitted that the mother tongue was important and thus encouraged the people to master Bahasa Malaysia, English and their own mother tongue.

Abd Ghafar also explained the rationale for Year 4 to Year 6 SJKC pupils to follow the same syllabus as national schools.

"It is aimed at enabling SJK pupils to master Bahasa Malaysia faster before they enter secondary schools where Bahasa Malaysia is the main medium of instruction," he said.

He added that this would also ease their transition to secondary schools and prevent them from dropping out. - Bernama

Education Ministry answers Dong Zong’s queries

November 24, 2012

KUALA LUMPUR, Nov 24 – The National Education Blueprint 2013-2015 does not intend to sideline any vernacular schools which exist in this country, said Education director-general Tan Sri Abd Ghafar Mahmud, today.

Dong Zong why you always complain and complain and complain

The Dong Zong extremists are up to no good again, they want to rally some more to protest about the Gomen plan in the National Education Blueprint (NEB) to increase the hours for teaching BM in Chinese Schools, it threatens the Chinese Schools they say:

Read more here.
I do not want to discuss the merits or demerits of Dong Zong's constant demand to the Gomen which they say is based on Article 152 of the Constitution, our Perlembagaan lah. Now lets have a look shall we:

Source here.
Article 152 has been subject of much discussion from the time of Merdeka, and a  Judgement in the DPP vs Mark Koding trial for sedition finally laid to rest what it meant:

Source here
What the Judgement above says on the matter of Article 152(1):

"On the other hand, Abdoolcader J appears to have given a more restricted protection conferred by the proviso when he said at page 362 last paragraph:

It is further significant that proviso (152(1))

(a) speaks of ‘teaching or learning’ and omits the preposition ‘in’ thereafter

It is quite clear that MU proposes to give instruction in its courses in Chinese

whether as the only or the main medium of instruction

whichever it is and the proviso accordingly affords no protection for that purpose

The omission of the preposition cannot be repaired in view of the express language of the proviso and no interpretation by analogy in this regard can be resorted to either.

Words in a statute must be taken to be used correctly and exactly and the onus on those who assert that they are used loosely or inexactly is a heavy one (New Plymouth Borough Council v Taranaki Electric-Power Board (at page 682). It was laid down by the Privy Council in Ram Chunder Dutt v Jughesh Chunder Dutt that ‘arguments from analogy may arise where a principle of law is involved; but where the courts are dealing with the positive enactments of a statute, reasons founded upon analogies are scarcely applicable'."

The Judgement continues:

"The question therefore arises as to the true interpretation of proviso (a) to Article 152(1).

Having regard to the words used in the proviso, viz. “teaching or learning any other language” as opposed to “teaching or learning in any other language”

I tend to agree with the restricted meaning enunciated by Abdoolcader J when dealing with schools or other educational institutions.

In my view, under proviso (a), although the National Language shall be the Malay language,

the usage of any other language other than for official purposes, is guaranteed;

so is the teaching or learning of any other language in schools, be it Chinese, Tamil, Arabic or English.

But there is nothing in proviso (a) to justify the extension of the protection to the operation of schools where the medium of instruction is Chinese, Tamil, Arabic or English.

This strict interpretation is consistent with

proviso (b) which guarantees the right of the Federal Government or any State Government to preserve and sustain the use and study of the language of any other community in the Federation.

Thus, the preservation and sustenance of usage of language of any other community is guaranteed.

So is the preservation and sustenance of study of any other community’s language,

but again there is no justification in extending the guarantee to the preservation and sustenance of study in the language of any other community in the absence of specific words to that effect.

Any other interpretation of proviso (a) would result in abusing the words used in the proviso.

It is absurd for instance to think that the proviso gives constitutional protection to teaching or learning in school where the medium of instruction is Russian or Japanese.

To my mind, the protection only extends to language but not to medium of instruction in schools.

In other words, no person shall be prohibited or prevented from teaching or learning Chinese or Tamil or, for that matter, any language which is not the national language in any school as a language subject,

but such protection does not extend to the teaching or learning in a school where the teaching or learning is in any other language.

As correctly stated by Abdoolcader J the omission of the preposition “in” after the words “teaching or learning” in proviso (a) makes the distinction necessary. In the event, it is my finding that the Accused is not guilty of sedition when he advocates for the closure of Tamil or Chinese schools. Whether or not such closure is advisable or feasible is, of course, another matter to be decided elsewhere and not in this court. There is nothing unlawful in allowing Chinese or Tamil schools to continue."

Ok now, it has been established in the Constitution that no person shall be prevented or prohibited from teaching or learning Chinese or Tamil etc, BUT it is also established that the teaching in schools where the teaching or learning in any other language (means Chinese or Tamil, Arabic etc.) other than Bahasa Malaysia is NOT protected by the Constitution.

In this, the Dong Zong and their supporters should be thankful to the BN led Federal Gomen who are instrumental in propagating the vernacular schools since Merdeka.

Read more here
I do not agree with the BN Gomen policy on vernacular schools as I like many other Malaysians believed that vernacular schools does not  contribute to a United and Prosperous Malaysia it will only give rise to polarization, discrimination and feelings of superiority (you knowlah same old, same old my education quality is better in my language than yours thinghy).

Our young are voluntarily segregated from early childhood and do not mix like they should in a multi-racial and multi-religious nation. They will grow up (and the signs are all there) not knowing the culture of others, thinking their race are superior and refuse to understand each other, they live in a vacuum, living separate lives speaking in different languages.

That is why I strongly support the Satu Sekolah Untuk Semua..Satu Bahasa, Satu Bangsa, Satu Negara initiative, with Bahasa Malaysia as the main Language, English strengthened and Mandarin or Tamil or any other mother tongue language be taught within the National Curriculum. Children who study and play together will grow up together, will understand each other better and its contribution to a United and Prosperous Malaysia will be enormous.

Coming down to earth, the BN Federal Gomen have already made iron clad guarantees that the vernacular schools will exist as long as Malaysian wants it, read here, I have come to accept that vernacular schools are here to stay as long as Malaysian wants it to exist.

However, after more than 50 years of Merdeka and realising that vernacular schools are producing Malaysians who could not string a proper sentence in Bahasa Malaysia, the Federal Gomen in a moment of genius had decided that the Bahasa Malaysia taught in the vernacular schools shall no longer be the watered down version of the national curriculum according to the NEB read; "Standard Bahasa Malaysia curriculum for all both government and vernacular primary schools - goal to abolish 'remove' class in secondary schools by 2017" Source here. I believed this is the Dong Zong's latest focus of complaint..more BM time means less time for our precious Mandarin they say...and screamed 'bloody murder' our Chinese Culture is being threatened never mind that there are many Malaysian Chinese who could not speak or speak Mandarin sparingly and surprise of surprises, their Chineseness still remained intact, some even more so. Don't get me wrong, this is a free country you can be as Chinese or as Malay or as Indian as you like as long as you don't break the Law and cause harm to others OK.

So Dong Zong, Despite the Constitution not giving protection to the vernacular schools, the Gomen in their great wisdom have given iron clad guarantees to all communities almost like sovereign bonds and say that vernacular schools shall exist as long as they are required by Malaysians.

The Chinese schools nor the Chinese Culture in Malaysia are in any imminent threat any time soon lah. So enough of these demos OK Dong Zong? while you guys feel 'banyak syiok' shouting among yourselves in an open field saying the Gomen is bad and threatens the Chinese schools and Chinese Culture blah blah, the world knows and recognizes Malaysia as the only country on planet earth outside of the People's Republic of China which recognizes Chinese Education in Mandarin.

Dong Zong needs to change its Pre-Merdeka mentalitylah, lets join other Malaysians who have moved on more than 50 years of Merdeka. How much Mandarin do you Dong Zong wants a Chinese in this country to know anyway? This is the country where we are blessed to be born in, and this will be the country where we will, God willing, be buried by our children. We live in this blessed multiracial and multi religious country called Malaysia, no race will be satisfied with what the Gomen can give to each community. Lets live and let live, we certainly cannot live in our own vacuum.

Having said all that, if the stubborn Dong Zong continues to exert pressure on the Gomen with their unreasonable and extreme demands, be warned, it could just cause enough aggravation to  majority Malaysian that a future Future Federal Gomen will have no recourse but establish a Satu Sekolah Untuk Semua. Wishful thinking? Perhaps, but in a democracy where the majority makes up more than 65% of the population anything could happen.
